Watching Giratina and the Sky Warrior made me realize something. Brock is pretty much useless now. It's more focused on Ash's gym battles and Dawn's contests. Really, all Brock does is Ref non Gym battles and mentor them almost. Plus he cooks for them and is a comic relief with his girl obsession. But really, there doesn't seem to be any need for him anymore. He's basically dead weight, as shown in Giratina and the Sky Warrior, being left behind while the others fought Zero.

I thought he deserved a better part... and come on, nintendo has to give him a good girl... Ivy probably already had a boyfriend by the time he got there in the orange islands lol

Brock was with Professor Ivy actually, after Ash finished the Johto League and everyone left back to their home towns. Which then leads to the sequel when Ash meets up with Brock again in Hoenn and tells him that things didn't work out for himself and Ivy, hence Brock returns once again. :P

well i think he is important without him they would be asking random peeps stuff that brock would know

or, they could bring back Tracy, but I do like Brock alot, he is cool.

Then again, the episode called "Doc Brock" did show that Brock has some importance. He left for a little while to get medicine; while Ash and Dawn waited in a mountain cabin. Pachirisu got sick, and Ash and Dawn were completely lost as to how to treat it. After a few good-hearted but ineffective attempts at treatment, Ash sent first Staravia (who was stalled by Team Rocket) and later Gliscor to fetch Brock, who came back and told Ash and Dawn how they were going wrong in their treatments for Pachirisu.

hmmm, true, but come on, he deserves a good girl at one point, just not ivy. I mean, look what he does for everyone
