Mid-battle evolution in the future?

For example, if it was already here, imagine the Aqua/Magma leader battle in R/S/E or something and it's your Combusken up against his Mightyena. Your Combusken beats the Mightyena and levels up to 36. Then, when Camerupt (or whoever) comes in, Combusken's back sprite starts flashing white and the normal evolution message comes up. A few seconds later you have a Blaziken's back sprite and stats. Now you're ready to PWN Maxie/Archie. If you didn't like the whole back-sprite thing it could be an option.

normally I usually go into a battle with a balanced team and a mid battle evolution would just shake it a little too much, though it COULD be a posibility
