It's not so much here where it happens, as some other places I've seen, but I am sick of people using the word 'noob' everywhere. It's really annoying. It's just insulting and nasty and makes everyone who uses it sound really up themselves and arrogant.
Everyone is entitled to have a go at something, and they shouldn't be laughed at or bullied if they find it difficult or make a few mistakes. If you pick on them, it makes you just as mean as the 'chavs' you may have had a bit of trouble with.
I know that I am generalising here but alot of Pokemon fans seem to be between 12 and 30 and have had difficulties fitting in with people. Alot of them also seem to be very intelligent. But that doesn't mean that they have to be completely egotistical and go around saying that their team can beat everybody else's in the whole wide world. I also think that people who have had trouble fitting in should think from their own experiences and how it would make other people feel to be insulted when they're having a go at something they enjoy.
I think that 'noob' is a horrible and insensitive word and it should be classed as derogatory language.
(Feel more than free to disagree with me on this.)

People don`t understand this: n00b = An insult. Newb = Someone who`s new. Here is an example: First poster: Hey Newb! Second poster: Hey! Don`t insult me! People just don`t understand

Agreed with the both of you, just because you can't actually see the people you're talking with online doesn't mean that you have the right to treat them rudely.

I know this should be locked, and thats why you have mods, but seeming as this is still open, I see no reason why this simple word annoys you, I mean sure you may be called a noob, or newb, but its the same thing, no diference!! Even so its just a word used or said to mean begginer.
