Supposedly, all Pokemon descended from Mew. But from an evolutionary stand point, where did humans come from?
I've always thought of humans in the Pokemon world branching off from the same common ancestor that the other non-Pokemon organisms did in the Pokemon world.
At an evolutionary standpoint, imagine the tree of life, first starting to sprout. Simple single celled organisms begin to form in a mixture of conditions and chemicals. These cells, as they later begin to develop, start to become more complex. Diatoms begin to form, thus producing oxygen for other cells to use as an energy source. The tree of life begins to divide, and soon two or more specific groups are formed. One group which evolves into Pokemon (Similar to plants, in our world), and the other group which evolves into the non-elemental beings in the Pokemon universe - IE/ Worms, various fish, humans. The tree continues to expand off into various directions, with some branches falling off with natural selection (the fossil Pokemon and organisms).
Eventually, the world becomes much like ours, in a way.

Yeah I think it was Arceus too, I imagine the concept of our world is similar to the PokeWorld.

Possibly has to do with "Arceus and the Jewel of Life."
